My Story

I create bespoke animal portraits for people who want artwork that feels personal, meaningful, and full of character. My work is inspired by a lifelong love of horses, a deep understanding of animals, and the special bond we share with them.

Based in Buckinghamshire, my love for horses began at a very young age. When my mum was looking for an activity I could enjoy with my hearing loss. So I started riding and quickly fell in love with horses.

I studied for an FdSc and a BSc (Hons) in Equine Studies before graduating in 2015, then spent several years working in the equestrian industry across dressage, livery, and showing yards. That hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of horses, from their expressions and movement to the individual personalities that make each one unique.

Although I have since lost both of my horses, Owen, a chestnut Thoroughbred who could be surprisingly mare-ish for a gelding, and Ollie, a dapple grey Irish Sport Horse (ISH) who was a wise old soul even at the age of four, they continue to inspire my artwork and creative journey.

I had hoped Ollie would go on to event after discovering his love for jumping, but just four months after I brought him home it one setback followed another. We still managed to shared a wonderful year enjoying a variety of disciplines together at 10 years old before I sadly had to say goodbye to him shortly after his eleventh birthday. The bond I shared with both Owen and Ollie is at the heart of the artwork I create today.

In 2024, after losing Ollie, I picked up my paintbrush again and reconnected with a lifelong passion. I do not have an art degree, I am proudly self-taught, learning through practice, perseverance, and a genuine love for creating artwork that captures the spirit of each animal.

Today, I work primarily in acrylic and coloured pencil, creating bespoke portraits of horses, pets, and wildlife. Whether it is a much-loved horse, a beloved pet, or a special wildlife piece, my aim is to capture more than a likeness — I want each portrait to reflect the character, emotion, and individuality that make every animal unique.

I also enjoy exploring other subjects and creating original artwork, with new pieces becoming available for sale soon. If you are looking for a portrait that celebrates an animal who means the world to you, I would be honoured to create something truly personal.
